Advantages: Great sound, lots of storage, great internet
Disadvantages: none
The nokia 5800 is a great touch screen phone.
The touch screen is brilliant, not under or over sensitive. Touch screen phones I've had in the past have been over-sensitive, or required you to physically attack them before they'll do anything. The Xpress is perfect, and it comes with a stylus too so you don't get fingerprints all over the screen.
Features:
Mp3 Player: Yup, this phone doubles up as an Mp3 player. It comes with an 8gb memory card. That's alot of music. Also, when you're listening to it without headphones it actually has a fairly decent sound. Not like other phones. The headphones you can use, by the way, are standard headphones. Not specially designed so you can only use the ones provided by Nokia.
Camera: The camera is 3.2 Mp. Has a flash, and takes still photos but can also be used as a video camera.
Internet: The internet is great. Other phones I've used are fairly limited when it comes to the internet. Slow, and have alot of restrictions regarding what sites you can view.
So far I've not had any problems with viewing any sites on the nokia. It's just like being on the computer...but smaller.
messaging: Oh, thank the lord for Nokia's touch screen QWERTY keyboard. That's right, you can use the old keypad way of texting, or you can select to use the mini-qwerty keyboard, the full screen qwerty keyboard, or handwriting. yep, handwriting. Just write as normal with the stylus. It's pretty good at picking up what you're writing. No problems there.
Applications: Email/calculator/voice recorder/notes all pretty standard.
It also has a dictionary, which is well handy and bbc iplayer and you can download additional applications from OVI.com, many of which are free.
I've downloaded a few free games, brightlight, which just allows you to use the camera flash as a torch, and a couple of books (the wizard of Oz and treasure island)
I don't doubt the phone can do more than this, probably makes cups of tea and stuff if you know how to work it, but thats pretty much all I've used of it, and is probably all most people would use, so there you have it.
Summary: The phone kicks ass. I've never been so impressed with a phone. Ever.
