I recently purchased a Nokia 5800 on Vodafone to replace an old phone i recently broke. I have found this phone to be a quite remarkable device, which considering i have only ever used basic phones before was quite a suprise to me. It features MP3 player, good camera, internet, the usual calculator, alarm clock etc. It was supplied with an 8GB memory card, which is more than adequate for storing large amounts of songs, photos, and even videos. The phones ability to play videos is remarkable, with a crystal clear screen. Speaking of screens, the touch screen does require a relatively firm touch to get it to activate, but is generally accurate and responsive. With regard to texting there are several input methods, which you can use depending on your preference. This includes a basic handwriting recognition package, which is a little odd to use at first, but when you're used to it, it is way faster than than typing text style.

And finally the best feature included free with this phone was the 'Nokia Maps'. The phone has a GPS system integrated, and allows you see initially the entire UK. It will also guide you to local services/attractions, and can be used as an in car sat-nav with a small subscription to pay. Other world maps can be downloaded free from Nokia.

Applications are limited can be downloaded. They are limited in number and use at the moment, but more and more are coming through.

On the downside, this phone is rather large, and doesn't look as sturdy as it actually is!

I couldn't recommend this item higher, and is a creditable alternative to the far more expensive i-phone.
