I purchased the Nokia 6111 as an upgrade for my existing contract with my moble company. Has all the features I was looking for when I ugraded, decent memory, camera etc. Then one afternoon, nothing. The screen was completely blank. I trid to call the phone from my landline, and it still worked. I decided to check the internet and came acrosse hundreds of reviews with apparant ribbon cable problems. Basically it means that as this is a slide phone, one of the side effect of the sliding action is that the cable snaps and causes complete shortage to the screen. This had happened previously, but I had just turned phone off and back on again to reset, but this time, the screen remained blank. Wish I had found out about problems before upgrading! Anyway, sent phone back and got a replacement. Next time I will be smarter and read reviews BEFORE purchasing. Good thing is only another six months before I can upgrade again.
