Advantages: Excellent applications freely downloadable on the symbian platform
Disadvantages: Poor battery life, phone responsiveness slows over time
having had this phone for 18 months on a contract with 3 I have mixed feelings about it.
Firstly as a phone the Nokia 6120 Classic is more than adequate. Nice keypad, good sound quality and a surprisingly good integrated speaker-phone.
The feature set is excellent. Many applications are available for the Symbian platform making the phone much much more than a calling and texting device. Google earth, a Divx video player as well as applications for controlling Itunes or other software on a PC remotely have all come in useful over the time I have used this phone. Nokia maps is also a fantastic free resource (though google earth is better but requires a data connection) and can be used as a sat nav system (though not for free) if the phone is paired with a bluetooth GPS.
The downsides? I have found that after 18 months use the phone is quite sluggish. Taking a few seconds to open a text message quickly becomes frustrating, like using an old PC that is past its sell-by date.
The battery on the phone will require charging every night if the phone is used regularly. This is a real annoyance - if I forgot to charge the phone one night, it was hit and miss whether the battery would last for the second day, even with light use.
Summary: Great small smart phone, but beware poor battery life and sluggish performance
