Advantages: High speed, Weight, design, extra features.
Disadvantages: Unable to use high speed for WAP, without navi-roller
At first sight, it looks more like the non-WAP bestseller – 6150, rather than 7110. Weighing in at 114 g, without a poky antenna, it glides well into most pockets. However, it is still a few grams heavier than the sexy Siemens S35. Not on a roll A bit surprisingly, Nokia has skipped the popular navi-roller used on 7110. The up and down buttons are rather similar to the 6150. Just like on the 7110, it includes an IR-port and an internal modem, making it easy to surf and synch data. Easy to navigate The screen size is relatively good, given the size. It offers 96x60 pixels, slightly smaller than the 7110 display. As on most Nokia phones the menu-system is highly intuitive and can be operated by a novice within minutes. Previous users of 6150 will hardly feel a difference. Speedy The CPU power is improved, from 7110, to tackle faster surfing. Despite its inability to use the high-speed feature (43.2kbps ) on WAP, you still can surf faster with your Palm or laptop on enabled networks. However, your should check if your local opeartor supports HSCSD (high speed circuit switched data) . Some operators has skipped this standard, and gone straight for GPRS. This will not be a problem for the much-awaited Ericsson R520 -triple-band, supporting both high speed and GPRS and WAP at blazing speeds. Close race Faster, but slightly heavier and with poorer battery capacity than Siemens S35, 4 hours talk time and 200 hours stand by - it looks like a close race for the top spot. Check back soon as Wap.com will post a new winner in our WAP-calculator. One thing is sure, for £400 Euros you will get a user friendly state of the art WAP phone, with a handful of extra features. Which one you will pick at that price, may anyway boil down to taste and personal preferences. :-) High speed, Weight, design, extra features. :-( Unable to use high speed for WAP, without n
avi-roller
