Advantages: Longer battery life (because of fewer unnecessary functions), smaller phone

Disadvantages: No MP3 or Video

Nokia 6230 is probably the best cell phone I ever bought. Or maybe I was just spoiled by the excellent customer service at www.lammazing.com :) where I bought it. Top notch display, bluetooth, camera, and I got everything on sale at the best and lowest prices. I was actually surprised at the relative price and quality. Most of all THE SPEAKERPHONE is loud and clear. I love that! Most other phones have a pretty weak speakerphone. And the best part yet is that the phone is UNLOCKED, so if I decide to switch from Cingular to T-Mobile, Fido, Rogers AT&T (in Canada), etc... all I have to do is switch my SIM card.

The 6230i has too many functions and its battery is not enough to sustain the bigger screen with more colors plus video plus MP3. It's almost like a phone that cannot handle itself.

Summary: Nokia 6230 is overall a more solid phone, more practical, as the experts say at www.lammazing.com

You say you are surprised at the quality and then go on to say that the phone cannot handle itself. A little confusing. The things i would like to know as a possible buyer of a telephone is what storage it has for personal numbers, what features it has and how easy they are to use, ringtones available as standard, what the keys are like and the menus for someone like me that is not very good with technical items like a phone. How easy is it to text ? and above all what guarantee comes with it. Hope this helps. Rachel
