Advantages: good features, relatively cheap compared to more up to date phones, nice bright screen

Disadvantages: A little out dated, now outdone by the 6230i

This was my first colour screen phone and I have to say that I was over the moon with it, it is fantastic.

I mean do you remember how you felt when you got your first camera phone too? WOW comes to mind and that is exactly what I thought when I first got it, yeah sure it is now a little outdated, but hey, its perfect for students on a tight budget, business people looking for a second phone or for parents wanting to buy their kids a good phone with plenty of features.

Build in microphone, camera, SD card slot for memory expansion, for me this phone had the works. Multimedia Message Service (MMS) compatible, SMS (Text messaging) and radio, it is truly a good phone.

If i am honest though I only have three gripes with this phone.

The first being that the camera has no zoom function while taking a photo on the camera, sure you can zoom in afterwards, but thats a pain.

The second that the phone is only compatable with Nokia's own headphones, you cant use normal plug in jack headphones like on an ipod on this phone, which is a little infuriating because if you should need a pair to replace a pair that are broken for your MP3/iPod you cant use these ones! or normal headphones with this phone, but hey, i only used the headphones for this phone while listening to the radio at night time so it was not too much of a problem.

The third and final annoyance ance bad design really more than anything really wrong with the phone is that in order to put in an SD Memory card, it is necessary to switch off the phone, remove the back of the phone and remove the battery to access the SD slot, everything then needs to be put back into the phone and then switched back on before you can view or save things to the card/from the card. This is a little annoying especially when you are transferring things from a computer to the SD card or from the SD card to a computer.

This problem is partially gotten around by the fact that the phone has bluetooth and as such because of this aslong as your laptop/desktop computer has some sort of bluetooth as well it is possible to transfer things between the two devices this way. This is alright for sending a couple of files but gets annoying and time consuming when trying to move larger numbers of files as only one file can be sent or received at once.

All in all though this Nokia is just like and other and is hard as nails, mine has survived many drops and falls in its life with me and still works perfectly fine.

Summary: Nice phone and a good reserve/2nd phone for business
