Advantages: Excellent Phone and Features
Disadvantages: None
The Nokia 6230i is an awesome mobile phone. It has excellent capabilities and can meet everybody’s needs. As I own one of these phones I find that they are excellent and can do pretty much anything that I want it to.
The phone has the standard things such as messaging and other things such as push to talk, push to talk is a like using walkie talkies and can be used anywhere. These are the things that are accessible on the phone and some of its features:
• 1.3 megapixel camera also shoots video clips
• High quality video streaming with sound
• 32 MB internal memory and support for MMC cards up to 512 MB - use the phone as a digital storage device
• Active TFT display and new animated 3D menu graphics
• Push to talk over cellular
• Easy local and remote synchronization
• Flexible connectivity: features Bluetooth technology, infrared, USB port, Pop-Port™, and GPRS/EDGE
• XHTML browsing and email over TCP/IP
• AAC/MP3/M4A stereo music player and FM radio
The 1.3 megapixel camera is a high quality camera that can take photos, photos in the dark, portrait photos and also videos. The amount of photos that can be taken depends on the memory that your phone has. The video has high quality and also records sound to a high definition.
When you buy the phone it comes complete with a 32MB memory card which can store quite a few pictures and also a few music files but not many. If you were to purchase this phone I would recommend that you get a 512MB memory card to go in your phone. Anything can be stored on the memory card so the phone can be used as a storage device. Although all formats are not compatible with the phone but it can still be used to store data.
The screen on the mobile phone is a TFT screen which is very high quality and has bold and bright colours. All of the menus on the phone such as messaging and media player now all have animated pictures to make them look more interesting and user friendly.
As I mentioned earlier the phone has a feature called push to talk which allows two users to interact for free from their head sets. This is like using walkie talkies two interact with each other.
Another feature of this phone is being able to synchronise all of the information on your phone with the information on your computer. The software that allows you to do this comes complete with the phone when you buy it. You can connect your mobile phone to your computer by using a data cable that connects to the USB port or an infa red connection but the most popular one is to use a Bluetooth connection that plugs into the USB port and can be purchased for about £20 from places like PC World.
This phone can be used to play MP3’s as well as many other formats of music and is very flexible in the way that it works. The music player automatically scans your entire phone for music and plays it continuously via the music player.
As a final extra to this phone it also has WAP which enables you to connect to the internet and browse the web the only downfall to the service is that browsing the internet comes at a cost and it is quite expensive.
I think that this mobile phone is an excellent phone and I would recommend it to anyone. This phone can be purchased from most good phone shops for about £150.00 I think that this is excellent value for money.
