Still plenty to offer (Nokia 6230i)

Advantages: Great design, plenty of features Disadvantages: Only a 1.3MPixel camera, slow music player I know some people may see this phone as old, whilst this may be true, i would say it hasnt aged one bit. The 6230i can match just about every feature found on new £300 phones. The 6230i set the way for what features a phone should have. It has all the usuals, bluetooth, MP3 music player, 1.3MPixel camera, video, calender, good games and ability to add more (made easy by using the 'nokia pc suite'), and support for MMC memory upto 512MB. The only feature that may show off this phones age, is the 1.3MPixel camera. But having used both this and the W880is 3Mpixel camera, i can say that, ok whilst the sony ericson may be better, it costs £200 more with which you could buy a decent digital camera with anyway. In my opinion, photos on a phone are ment to capture the moment, and this the 6230i is more than capable of. The only other downside i can think of (and having to be really picky) is the music player. As on the 6230i, when you turn it on, if you go to the music player (which can easily be 'hot-keyed' for one touch accessed) you have to wait while the phone loads the entire track list. This at first may not seem that bad when you have about 10 songs, however when you start to fill that memory card, you will notice this time increase ALOT. I have about 80songs on my 6230i, and while i havnt timed it, i can stil say it takes alot longer than id like. But if your willing to work round this niggly problem, youve got a good solid phone, that matches most of the brand new (£250+) phones' features, for less than £100. Summary: A great phone for the price despite its age.
