Advantages: Its likely to outlive you, Easy to use, will be pretty damn cheap nowadays

Disadvantages: Lacking some of the latest features , Speaker isnt that loud, umm...Really struggling here

I've had my Nokia 6230i now for around 3 years, and I cant think of many pieces of equipment that would outlast it.
Being a student, the Nokia gets a very rough time of it, and on drunken stumbles back from student night at the union has had a fair few knocks in its time. But, no matter what I do to it, it seems to withstand it and still work flawlessly!

I can also recall once about a year ago when I, whilst fairly intoxicated(and for a bet might i add, not that it makes it any less stupid :) ), jumped in a canal, not realising that I had my phone still in my jeans pocket. To my amazement, after a few days drying, the phone still worked! Compared with modern phones' functionality, this one really doesn't compete, with a miserly 1.3mp camera and lacking some of the newer functions of the flash new phones. But could you find one that still works after going for a swim? I doubt it!

Having said that, its got a fair few of the features you'd want out of a phone, including not only the obvious stuff like texting and calling, but also FM radio, Bluetooth and support for playing all types of video. This phone is not really aimed at those who are looking for the latest mobiles with the loudest speakers and best cameras, but more at those who just want their phone to do what a phone was built for, namely, Calling, texting and withstanding the elements. And lets face it, if your walking down the street with a phone like this one, its not about to get nicked for drug money...

If I was buying again, which I wont as I suspect the phone will probably outlive me, I would definitely be inclined to go for another Nokia, simply due to the fact that they are really simple to use and wont break on their first contact outside of the lab tests.

I you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, I don't bite, and if you enjoyed my review, please read some of my others.

Thanks for reading :)
