since i got this phone i have had no problems with the quality, it looks like a good phone it has a smooth sleek cover.i dont really like the spin part on the screen, it may look good but it is also quiet decilate after getting this phone it broke about a month after having it, i would not recommend this phone for people who of then break things, as you will not have it for very long.Aside from that i would say this is phone is top quality with some good features such as the digital player,mp3 player, polyphonic ringtones and the fm radio.i'd say the quality o the image/video is quiet good, it has a gd memeory allowing yu to store a lot of pics on your phone. As far as the weight is conserned it i would say this is a light phone wit some fantastic features.this phone is extremely usefull and i would say tis is a great phone to get..
The Nokia 6260 is a clamshell phone with a range of interesting features, but most obviously its most notable feature is the rotating screen which can be rotated to a number of positions - open, closed, facing inwards and facing outwards. This is a little "gimicky" and at first it's quite fun but the novelty soon wears off. After a few days the sturdyness of the screen wears of and the hinge feels very loose and dangerously close to falling off (although it never does).
THE RANGE OF INTERESTING FEATURES
As mentioned earlier the phone has a numebr of interesting features which make s it particularly attractive to business users. Under applications it has a feature called "quickword and quick point" which combined with its symbian operating system allows you to view word documents and powerpoint document which is extremely useful. It alos has a real player used to play video files and has the, by now, standard features of FM radio, polyphonic ringtones and MP3 player, although the MP3 player is mono and not the best quality.
CAMERA & IMAGE QUALITY
There are a number of modes you can take pictures/videos in and the way it is done is quite celver also. You can rotate the screen so that it resembles a camcorder and snap away. However, photos can be taken in a number of differnet positions as the camera is located on the side rather than at the back - which enables you to take a number of candid pictures!!
The phone itself is actually quite cool looking, with its rotating screen, however this is overriden by the fact that it is a "brick". It is huge and is of a considerable weight. You do notice it in your pocket and it does pull your clothes down!
Other negatives include the fact that it has poor memory and it has software issues. My one repepatedly switched off after 6 months.
SUMMARY: A good phone with a whole host of features, which is particularly targeted at business orientated people. If you don't mind it's size than it could be the phone for you but personally, for me it's too bulky and unreliable. There are better smartphones on the market, in my opinion.
(P.S This is my review from Ciao)
the nokia 6260 is a nicely designed phone that has a screen that can be rotated 180 degrees and folded back.
it is practical in a lot of environments.
the black design looks a lot better than the silver one but it always has marks and fingure prints all over it when you have used it.
i got a silver one for a week as they didnt have the black one in stock and i had it for about 3 days then the phone just died off, so i returend it to the retailer and i was told that they have had a lot of returns of this phone because of a technical fault so they gave me a new one, which was the black one i wanted and so far so good so hopefully it will last.
now the advantages and disadvantages:
great design gives the phone a wow look
funky and useful turning screen gives the phone that extra touch
good screen makes it clear to see the menu
great web browser, excellent for surfing the net.
poor reliability as i said earlier the phone keeps crashing and the camera software keeps on stalling.
the phone always seems to need software upgrades so i have to travel to the nokia centre to get it done.
i bought the phone in the first place because i wanted a smart, reliable phone that i could use every day.
the menu of the phone could be improved.
overall i think that the phone is a good phone although their is a lot of room for improvement
thanks for all your comments and ratings
The Nokia 6260 phone is flexible in function as well as form. Open it to talk. Twist the display to shoot a picture. Fold it with the display face up to browse the Internet or access applications. Close it to carry it with you. Whatever you're doing, the Nokia 6260 phone matches your moves.
