Advantages: user friendly, great sound and camera quality
Disadvantages: chunky and weak casing
I have had quite a lot of phones in my past starting from those large bricks you couldn't even fit in your pocket! All of them didn't really last long and I was slowly losing my patience with mobiles. But then this phone came along and thank god it did!
The nokia 6280 has survived 2 years with me and although it is becoming to look quite tacky with the back cover snapped off and a few scratches here and there, there is little for me to complain about. It does everything I need it to do like texting and calling people plus a 2mpixel camera, games, calculator, internet etc.
The phone is black and silver, rather chunky and has a smooth slider which I never have any problems with. Its not the most beautiful phone I have seen and the chunkiness does sometimes irritate me as its less mobile if I cant even fit it in my pocket but then again appearances aren't everything. I didn't buy this phone to look good so spending more money to get it in pink with cool looking buttons seems completely pointless.
This phone has far more advantages than disadvantages. For example I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the music player on this phone is excellent quality. Not only for its sound but for the quantity of music I have been able to store on it. Of course it is nothing compared to ipods and phones built for music use but is still impressive.
The camera also surprised me with its quality. I have dozens of photos stored on my phone (although with no way of uploading them to my computer as I have no lead). You are also capable of editing the photos by adding clip arts, titles and other photos to it. This means you can create customised wallpapers, screensavers and is also a good time waster!
Although I do love this phone, unfortunately there are some disadvantages. The first that I will point out is the casing of the phone. Although is has done no inside damage, it is quite weak and I have found that bits are beginning to break off. It has not effected anything important but it doesn't exactly make it look attractive.
Another downside to this phone is the chunkiness. Its not a huge disadvantage but a slim phone is a lot easier to handle and carry around in your pocket. I do not think that it is a disadvantage to stop you from buying the nokia 6280 however.
I would recommend this phone to people willing to pay roughly £130 for a mobile that does everything you need it to do and more. In the 2 years that I have been using it, I have not yet come across any major problems and have thoroughly enjoyed playing with the extra gadgets!
Summary: Excellent phone for its price!
