Advantages: easy to use, very good quality build.
Disadvantages: battery a bit temporamental, speakers not all too good.
I never ask too much from a phone. Im not too bothered if it has a digital SLR slapped on the back with 70,000 mega pixels. I've never used a phone for a primary music player either afterall, why buy an ipod if you just use your phone. The main feature in a phone for me is the ease of use and this phone ticks this box with the biggest tick you have seen in your life.
I have always been a fan of nokias due to their ease of use but recently they seemed to be going the way of other manufacturers and over complicate unnecessarily. this phone harks back to the 3310 generation, with a few more snazzy options. the menu system is exquisite and i immediately warmed to it.
This phone isnt short of features either. The 2 megapixel camera will take decent photos in good light but when faced with darkness it simply fails in this area as it has no flash and the nightmode is more than useless.
If you were to use this phone for anything other than calling and texting people then a memory card is essential as the memory on the phone is pretty atrocious. however when you have managed to fit enough songs on the loud speaker is good if a little quiet and by far not enough bass, but this is true of pretty much all phones. Another downside is the lack of the standard 3.5mm headphone jack and the rather uncomfortable nokia headphones are the only ones that you can use.
battery life is average however does seem to vary considerably on what you are doin. i can run it for a couple of weeks without needing a charge but even on a full charge, if there is music or the camera on you may find it runs out within half an hour.
the exterior is good although after about a year it was a little scratched but that was probably my fault. this phone is good for the basics and ok for the more fancy stuff.
Summary: very good for the basics but may fall down when it comes to more power intensive functions.
