Advantages: Looks, Opera mini, ability to install wide range of apps

Disadvantages: Overheating, triband, not 3G, average camera

I've owned my Nokia 6300 for a year.

Ergonomics: probably the most attractive feature of this phone, it's beautifully sleek, the buttons are just the right size and the steel construction makes it very durable indeed. It's the only phone I have owned that hasn't developed any wear and tear faults of any significance whatsoever after 14 months of use.

Usability: As with all nokias, the user interface is easy and clear to use.

Camera: Very average. Image colours tend to be too vivid, and shots in dim light is hopeless.

Battery life: 2-3 days. Considering this phone is not 3G this battery life can only be described as average, however many slim handsets have this problem.

Best points: Can install S40 software onto this phone, which is not as good as symbian S60 software (smaller range of apps available), however there is still a lot out there on the Internet. Free games here I come!
Supports Opera mini, which I find invaluable. It's internet on the go-or as close as you will ever get without dishing out much larger quantities of money.

Disadvantages: relatively poor battery life. Overheating is a problem with this phone, which manifests as a drop in call volume (the person you are calling will complain you've gone quiet all of a sudden). I've experienced this after being on the phone 1.5hrs or more. This may be a problem for heavier users.

This phone is triband and not 3G, which may be a problem for some people.

Summary: An absolutely beautiful little phone perfect for light to medium users, without heavy demands on the camera front. A delight to use, and looks much more expensive than it actually is. (I've managed to impress Japanese people with the looks of this phone-which is something considering their space-age phones!)

Summary: Beautiful little phone for light to medium phone users

I have this phone and still really like it after almost 18 months.
