Advantages: Sound quality, Solid slim design, Very user-friendly

Disadvantages: Battery life

I bought an unlocked Nokia 6300 as a replacement for my phone that got damaged while on holiday. The phone is superb, I have to say it is one of the best phones I have ever used. It may not have the functions and add ons of newer smartphones or touchscreen phones, but it does what most people want from a phone exceptionally well, namely making calls and texting.

The phone is light, slim in profile, and has a great stainless steel finish. It feels great in the hand and the buttons are great for texting. The user interface is simple and easy to navigate around. The speaker on the phone is great, you can hear people on the other end very clearly.

The camera is only 2MP, but am not too fussed because I have a digital camera for taking pictures. Pictures I have taken aren't the greatest of quality, especially in low light conditions where they are very grainy.

I haven't used the phone for music, but there is a music player and FM radio on the phone. The phone came with a 128mb Micro SD card, and its is expandable upto 2gb.

Only real problem is that the battery life isn't the greatest - last about 48 hours on moderate usage.

The phone has all the other functions you'd expect like bluetooth, calender/personal organiser, alarm clock, and some games.

But as I said, overall as a phone I don't think you can beat it for what most people use a mobile for, and that is making calls and texting. This phone functions exceptionally well, is user-friendly and designed well, and all in all probably one of the best value phones out there.

Summary: One of the best phones Nokia have ever made
