Advantages: Great, easy to use phone.

Disadvantages: See description.

Like previous models of Nokia phones, the 6300i is a simple phone. The 6230i is a similar, but few models down from this phone and both meet the sort of standards you'd expect from this phone. The 2 megapixel camera, which is an upgrade from previous models is decent, but certainly nothing amazing. There are many different features on the phone, it may not be the new iPhone but it certainly does the job!

***The Camera***
The 2 Megapixel camera of the Nokia 6300i is decent, it takes decent pictures that can be classed as a good quality for the camera. The camera doesn't have a light so it is difficult to take pictures in the dark - this however can be done to a fairly decent standard using the "Night Mode". There are other effects that the camera offer which include; False Colours, Greyscale, Sepia, Negative and Solarise. The camera can also be used as a video camera, which takes fairly low quality videos, which can only be a given length dependant on the amount of space left on the phone.

***Connectivity***
The phone comes equipped with Bluetooth, but unlike previous phones it does not have infrared (which is not necessarily a bad thing as it is not so commonly used now). This means that the phone can connect to different phones easily via Bluetooth!

***Display & Settings***
It's possible to change the settings on the phone quite easily. If you go to the "Settings" tab on the menu it includes all configuration details and other setting tabs. This is where you can change the display, colour scheme etc. The use can use a pre-set theme& display picture or use the camera to take one of their own. It's also possible for them to be able to transfer images, themes and ringtones from their computer via Bluetooth.

***Organiser***
Under the organiser you can find different features. These are; alarm clock, calander, to-do list, notes, calculator, countdown timer and a stopwatch. These can be used for a variety of reasons. It's also quite useful to use the calander to fill in important dates as it's constantly with you when you have your phone!

***Games***
I found that the phone came with two games; snake and a football game. Neither of these were particularly spectacular but worked fine on the phone. It is possible to use the internet browser on the phone to download and purchase more accessories like games for the phone.

***Media***
There are two different media players; one for videos and one for sounds. This allows for the user to store music on their phone and play it through headphones that can be purchased for it. There is also a voice recorder and access to a radio if that is what interests you!

***Security***
The phone is easy to navigate through and therefore, it is also easy to set security measures on the phone. These can be pin codes and security codes that stop the user from being able to access the keypad and it can also be set that a code has to be entered on start-up!

I found that it was also standard for the phone to come with a 128 MB Micro SD Card. However this can easily be upgraded to a larger size if the user was to simply go and purchase a new one. This is not that expensive!
The phone does however, have a few faults. One of them is the fact that if you load pictures from you computer onto the SD card it makes the phone "lag" when you try and open that folder. It is also not great when you drop it! The casing falls apart and therefore you're left searching for three parts of your phone!

Summary: Overall a pretty decent phone!

Nicely written! It'd be handy to know what it's like to use as a phone, though: call quality, etc.
