Nokia 6303 classic
Advantages: Great quality, easy to use.
Disadvantages: Loudspeaker could be louder.
I've had the '6303 Classic' for about a year now and I have really enjoyed having it as my phone. Previously I was using a 'Blackberry Curve' which I liked a lot but unfortunately I broke it so had to move over to using the phone I originally got with my contract. I have also used the 'iPhone 3GS' but did not get on with it.
Nokia are renowned for making decent, durable and easy to use phones and the 6303 is no exception. As I said in my iPhone review the most important things to me from a mobile are calls and texts and the signal that I receive is always better than my friends and families (apart from my wife who also uses a Nokia).
The 6303 is quite light but not ridiculously so, my wife's phone is very light which she likes but when I have a phone in my pocket I like to be able to feel that it is there. I don't really use my phone for music or video so I find a 1GB memory card to be acceptable however if you did want to use this as your MP3 player the sound quality is good enough.
There were six different games included on the phone when I got it. Although you couldn't really get into a mobile phone game I like to have some on there to kill five minutes every now and then. All of the games on the mobile are casual and fun.
The 6303 does not have Wi-Fi so the internet is slower than it needs to be but the 3G is OK and the browser is easy enough to navigate, using the internet is not really what I have a phone for.
The camera's phone is 3.2MP which obviously is not great. My wife and I almost always have our camera on us but when we don't the phone camera is ready to use almost instantly and although it doesn't take print quality photo's they are clear. The bluetooth is easy to use and I often use it to share photo's with friends and family.
I use my phone most often for; making calls, texting, alarm clock, calendar, countdown timer (for cooking.), the calculator and taking photo's (this list is in descending order). I am extremely happy with the way in which my phone performs all of these tasks. On my last phone the alarm clock was a lot louder so it took me a few days to acclimatise but it is not annoyingly quiet. When in calls the loudspeaker could do with being a little louder but it is my only gripe with this phone.
I got this phone free with my contract and also my laptop so it was fantastic value for money. I would really consider getting a contract phone rather than 'Pay As You Go' as you can get contracts for as little as £10 a month and if you use your phone less than that I would not get this phone as I wouldn't want to spend over £20 on a phone.
Summary: Well worth considering.
