Advantages: Battery Life, Size, Robust
Disadvantages: Doesn't Take pictures
My Nokia 6310i has proven to be an excellent and reliable phone. I have now been using mine daily for over 18 Months. >> The Use and Abuse << It travels with me daily back and forth with me to work, and is plugged into it?s mains charger whilst at work. Calls are made and text messages sent daily Once or twice weekly it is plugged into a car hands free kit whilst I am travelling on business General usage in evenings and over weekends for calls and text messaging. It has accompanied me on a couple of trips abroad I have dropped onto concrete more than once! ? And it has survived OK. >> The Phone Itself << The phone measures 13cm by 4.5cm and is just under 2cm thick. It fits comfortably into a suit inside pocket or trouser pocket. It is not so comfortable if wearing tight jeans ? but isn?t that to be expected! They say that size isn?t everything, but as with this phone, I think it helps! The phone is relatively large compared to the very latest phones, but I think this is actually helpful. The phone fits comfortably into the hand and the keys are a sensible size to be pressed by real size pinkies. The phone weighs approximately 110g, which feels quite light to me, but again this is probably heavy compared to some of the latest very small phones. >> Price << It is difficult to advise directly on price, as there are numerous deals available, which keep changing. If you?re signing up for a contract a lot of companies will sell the phone very cheap (£30 - £50). If you want to just purchase the phone then someone like www.shopgenie.co.uk will sell it for approximately £190. Prices on E-Bay can be much lower than this >> Features << The main feature for me with this phone is the battery life. On several occasions I have been away for periods of over a week, without a charger, and made numerous calls and texts and
the battery has kept on going. The quoted standby by time is 17days It has a clock and an alarm clock, which is easy to use, and loud ? ideal for actually waking you up There are a number of games on phone (Snake II, Space Impact, Bumper and Racket) It is Bluetooth enabled, although I have not really used this It is Tri-band (not sure entirely what this means ? but I know the phone works fine across Europe) It has WAP which I find useful for getting football results It also has voice commands for selecting stored numbers but I have not really tried this out The display is bright, clear and shows up to six rows of text There are various other features available through the different options on the phone and more information is available from the Nokia website (www.nokia.com) >> Summary << Overall I am really impressed by the phone, its battery life and reliability. The only downside I can think of is it doesn?t take pictures ? but I?ve managed to live without that! Thank you for reading this review. P.
