Advantages: Has all the features you need including media player & radio (plays mp3)
Disadvantages: Lack of memory space in the memory card
I got this phone as a christmas present with a Pay & Go option. I'm very pleased with the phone not only because it's so easy to use but also because it's very robust on the outside - I've dropped it a couple of times like I usually do and it hasn't broken whereas my first ever mobile phone I got in 2001 broke when it dropped.
I've also had a little rainwater on it but droplets only and it still works - not to say I'd recommend dropping it in the bath but it's reassuring to know that mines can take a droplet or two; I did remember to wipe it immediately.
The phone is very easy to use via a menu system and has the following useful extra features:
1.3 Megapixel digital camera
Video recording capability
Media player - plays music & video
Alarm clock, stopwatch, Timer, Calendar, Todo list & notepad
WAP Enabled
Plays mobile games - I currently have Gameloft Brain Challenge
Bluetooth
Radio tuner (non digital)
Hands free headset & microphone
USB Connectivity to your PC or Laptop
Comes with a USB cable
The phone does indeed have a black casing and the wallpaper, soundclips, screensavers etc. are all fully customisable.
All that above I think is great and the beauty is it's on pay&go so I didn't have to take out an expensive contract just to get all those extra features.
NEW - The screen is a standard LCD colour screen which is covered by clear plastic so is well protected. It is clear and the image quality is pretty good compared to previous phones I've had.
The only downside to this phone is the default amount of memory it comes with in the memory card. I only get about 9Megabytes which is barely enough to store a few pictures, texts, ringtones.
I plan to go and find out next week if it can take a memory card replacement but so far I've not been able to find a way of putting one in easily. If I did get it replaced by removing the casing then it'd likely void my warranty so may hold on for now.
This section will be updated after I've attempted to upgrade the phones memory.

TheChocolateLady - 30.04.08 Sorry about the lower rating but I'm wondering how this phone works - as a phone, as an MP player, as a camera, whatever. I'm afraid this review has the basic list of the features, but I don't see much else here. I'm also surprised that you haven't commented on the screen - which is the biggest downfall of the new Nokia phones. |
