Advantages: It's easy enough to use
Disadvantages: No memory card, keypad too small, camera not that good
This isn't a bad phone, but it's not perfect. One of the best things for me about it was the fact that the functions were more or less the same as the functions on the my last Nokkia phone. Personally I think there comes a time in your life when you really only need you phone for text messages, checking your emails, taking the odd photo and of course calls.
The phone itself in incredibly thin and stylish and I've never been that bothered about the style of the phone however some of my more shallow friends have pointed out how nice the phone looks. Fair enough but does it do what you want it to do?
Two infuriating things about this phone are there is no port for a memory card. Very annoying as I bought a one gig card for my last phone and was looking forward to simply placing this card in my new phone without having to bother with transferring it via my PC.
The other problem is they have invented yet another plug for the power supply, which makes all of the other power supplies I have obsolete. The last Nokkia I had was a different make to the previous one, however they supplied an adapter that fitted over the old one so you didn't have to throw away your old one.
The camera is OK, but nothing to write home about. It takes better photos in daylight. Using it with the flash in the evening is almost a waste of time. The video is OK as well, but also nothing special. The keypad is a little bit small if you have average or large sized fingers and sometimes slip when writing out a text message.
All in all I would say this phone is average and nothing special. I got it as an upgrade and it does the basics fine. Apart from that I wouldn't have gone into a shop and bought it.
Summary: It's OK and that's all

- 30/07/08 Nicely written review but the Classic line are very basic phones and I was hoping you'd say more about how this works as a phone. |
