Advantages: Simple to use

Disadvantages: Lack of features, many technical problesm...

I currently have 3 contracts out at the minute. I have a very hectic lifestyle and i love keeping up to date with all the latest mobiles. You may find i review many mobiles, as this is what i know most about!!

This phone i got on my 3 contract, which i have renewed twice now. The first time i renewed it i got such a good deal that i never got offered an upgrade. As i was renewing the same contract deal (1000 free texts 600 free minutes for £5 a month!!) I didnt think that i would get an upgrade again either. Supprisingly i did get offered an upgrade, and imideatly jumped at the first phoen they offered me because i literally wanted it to be free. I spend enough on mobiles, so i try to keep this spend down as low as i can.

I had obviously seen the phone around, a few friends had recently got it so i was aware of what the phone looked like and simply going on apperance i was impressed. I have to say after the nokia 7210 era i havent seen a nokia i was particularly excited about. I think i had lost faith in their ability to bring out a good looking phone! So it was a change to go back to Nokia.

I ordered the phone in Black and initally i was happy. I wouldnt say impressed with the phone as to be honest i think the features are pretty basic. There is nothing on it that wows me, the camera isnt that good COMPARED to others, but on its own if i hadnt seen the quality of the Samsung f700/i900 i would be pleased with this quality.

Basic Nokia features as standard on all of their phones, calander calculater stop watch timer etc, messaging MMS email facility. The games you can download onto it though did impress me - how can you resist tetrus!!

The slide design looks very sleak and stylish, although it probably could have been made a bit thinner.

Now to the actual problems. The phone comes with a memory card (or at leats it did for me, if not you can buy them i am sure) Trying to access the memory card is a different story. It may not even recognise that the card is there, so when you go into gallery the 'Memory Card' icon will not show at all. Sometimes it shows and then when you click on it an error message comes up 'no memory card inserted' - well how can it be showing on the phone then?!

If you personalise the screen to your own picture desktop, after 5 minutes it suddenly dissapears and the defaults are restored. It continually freezes and the screen goes blank, it will switch it self off on occassions, or i will have to take the battery out to restart it as it has frozen.

Reception is suddenly lost out of nowhere, and all in all i would say it was a pretty basic phone. There is nothing that wow's me or makes it stand out. Perfect though. If you are looking for a phone that just makes calls! I suppose now days phones are expected to do so much that when a basic one comes along it isnt apprecated as much, but then even the basic functions like making a call seem to cause this nokia problems!

It is also quite a heavy phone compared to some recent phones, mayeb again this is an age thing. You used to be able to buy lighter batteries for Nokias, but as i havent had one for so long i am unsure if you can still do that - but its an option to perhaps resolve that.

It is very easy to use though, and works the same way as all nokias so if you are used to a nokia this is a great phone - probably more recommended to older generation who have trouble working out new technology (i know my aunt loves nokias because thats what she can use!)

Sound quality, when the phone works is good - although it isnt as advanced as Motorolas technology and you can sometimes be drowned out by the backgroud noise - or wind! But as a whole it is ok quality.

The variety of features is pretty poor, nothing new or exciting and all pretty basic but again if thats what you are looking for its perfect.

I would be weary though of all the problems with the phone - everyone i know that has had this phone has had to send it back for repair/get a new one. Dont think its worth the hassle, the negatives far outway the positives for me.

Summary: A good phone for someone just looking to make a call!!

I didnt realise we were marked for spelling. I thought the whole point was to inform people about the product.

Perhaps if spelling is that important they should put the option on the review before it is posted. I am not doign this to get a grade. Its to help people.

You've got some good information to tell us but it seems you could really do with putting this through a spelling checker to fix up the spelling mistakes and typos.
