Advantages: Attractive looking and good camera
Disadvantages: Some mionor problems
I have always had Nokia mobile ever since my very first phone. I did venture into having a Samsung, but have returned to a trusty Nokia.
The Nokia 6500 Slide was a welcome replacement to my old phone and I was really excited when it arrived. It was chunky, shiny and really attractive to look at. I was so pleased with it.
I have had this phone for about 10 months, and generally it is very reliable and has been an excellent phone. There are however, a few problems I have encountered with the phone.
The first problem I encountered with the phone was that occasionally - for no apparent reason - the phone would not show the contact details for a particular number. This generally happened with the numbers that I used regularly, but is very annoying. I have spent time deleting and then adding the name and number to the phone and I am still not entirely sure why it does it.
The other problem I have with the phone is that the buttons on the top half of the phone that slides, do not always work. This can prevent you from answering a phone call or reading a message.
I have been pleased with this phone, although it does some uncharacteristic problems. I have found it to be reliable with a good battery life and it is very durable. The metal casing of the phone is fairly scratch resistant and looks very attractive.
The phone has the usual features including calendar, internet, camera. The camera takes excellent photographs and there is plenty of room to store many photographs.
When the phone is working correctly for a sustained period of time, it is excellent. However the problems do let it down.
Summary: A generally good mobile phone
