This was my first mobile phone for a while. It did not take me long to get used to it. Everything such as changing the ring tone or wall paper was very simple. The phone itself was a very nice looking phone. It had a metal case. And fitted in my hand really well, the slide function was smooth but only for people who are happy with ...  Read the complete review

The Nokia 6500 slide is a slider phone released in early 2008. It was announced in 2007 as part of the Nokia6500Series - which also includes the Nokia 6500 classic which has slightly less features. The 6500 series with its stainless steel design proved to be a success, and led to the 6600 series (consisting of the 6600 classic and the ...  Read the complete review

I have always had Nokia mobile ever since my very first phone. I did venture into having a Samsung, but have returned to a trusty Nokia. The Nokia 6500 Slide was a welcome replacement to my old phone and I was really excited when it arrived. It was chunky, shiny and really attractive to look at. I was so pleased with ...  Read the complete review

Nokia 6500 slide: worst phone! (241 words)

This is probably the worst phone I ever had! I got this phone on contract with 3 mobile and when it arrived I was pleased as it looked smart and I liked the keypad on it. As soon as I turned this phone on there were problems but I just assumed they were teething problems as they weren't anything major...for example when I turned my phone ...  Read the complete review

Worst Nokia ever? (149 words)

The Nokia 6500 is not only the worst Nokia i have had but also the worst phone. Don't get me wrong, i am a huge Nokia fan, but this phone gave me problems from the very start. I only had it 2 months before the screen began freezing up and it started switching itself off. When you get used to the phone and begin trying to go through the ...  Read the complete review

I have always wanted to have one of these and I must admit I was a bit jealous when my borther got one of these for his birthday. Having seen what this beautiful piece of steely art can do, I have increasingly regretted my decision to have not gone for nokia when buying my last hand set. Despite what many think about this hand set's ...  Read the complete review

I've had this phone for a year now and it's been pretty reliable so far, it has a tendency to freeze sometimes if I have more than one reminder going off within a short time period and I don't clear them, then I usually have to remove the battery to unfreeze it, but this hasn't happened for a while and otherwise I've had no problems. ...  Read the complete review

In modern terms, this phone is pretty basic, but in my opinion it has all the necessary features. Its very easy to use, the camera is very good and photos come out really well when uploaded onto a computer. The video playback isnt that great, but you cant expect that much from a phone camera. if you need good video then get a camera or ...  Read the complete review

This is a fanitasic phone and by far the best I have had. As a nokia it has its standard easy to use menu's and layout options and is packed with other useful options to personalise it. However, I am far from technically minded and this is so easy to use. Its stylish design and because its a slider make it very compact. The camera is ...  Read the complete review

This mobile phone is exactly the type of phone I need. This phone is easy to use and not over complicated. If you are like me and do not like the idea of a touch screen mobile then I would recommend this for you. It is a reliable phone with a long lasting battery life. I have had a contract phone now for 18 months and am yet still to ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Nokia 6500 slide
by - written on 08/07/09
Rating:

Good quality phone but a huge downside is the fact that the back becomes loose very easily and then you have to selotape it up, not a good look. GPS is a brilliant feature which negates the need for a satnav. Battery life is not great as it only lasts for a day at most.

Ok, well my contact with Orange was up for renewal this month, and I had my heart set on the Samsung Tocco Ultra, but I then found out I had to pay £100 for it, and seeing as I tend to break phones quite easily, I thought better of spending that much money on a phone when I am paying £30 a month for my contract!!! So after much looking I ...  Read the complete review

I have had my Nokia 6500 for nearly 18 months and am due for an upgrade next month. I don't really use my phone for much more that calling and texting so I don't need a really fancy phone. I have found this phone to be really easy to use. The slide function, as well as being very cool, prevents me from accidently calling people while it ...  Read the complete review

I got this phone over 12 months ago now as an upgrade to my previous phone, a Nokia 6233. Having suffered some problem with the software in the early days of having it, I am now very happy with it overall. Not only does it have an exceptional camera but the slide design means that you get a compact (but not fragile) phone, small enough ...  Read the complete review

Have this phone on contract and overall its been problem free. The only thing Ive noticed is occasionally the phone resets itself, and always does this when the back cover is removed.
