Nokia 6600 Fold

I have an N95 but I wanted something less bulky & simple to use & a phone you can text with!. The `6600 Fold` fits the bill. Stunning on the outside & inside. The keypad is lush, especially compared to the N95! The specs are low compared to a N95, think 6280ish but 100 times better looking & the keypad is similar but miles better on the fold. The radio & mp3 are excellent sound quality, decent calender & alarms, wonderful Nokia ease of use, with the usual Nokia apps supplied. Bluetooth works as expected. I Love this phone! I had 4 Motorola V3i phones before this and it took me a long time to find something I prefered, but this 6600 Fold has it all in a stylish package. However.. I do have a problem! After only 2 months of daily but light use, the square black section of the navigation butten has cracked and will need replacing. I took it to Nokia and they refused to replace it because they say it is physical damage and not covered by warranty! This phone has never been dropped or mistreated in any way and I believe that the button must has been faulty in manufacture and maybe had a hairline crack from new that is now getting worse with use. One member of my family owns this phone and i have to say that i think Nokia has hit gold. The nice sleek and slim look with a nice flip up works in harmony with usual Nokia sensible and smartness. The sensibleness of Nokias is that everything is so easy to do and you can just do what you want without anything complicated happening. For example the easy texting, phoning and just makes phone more simple for people that do not like complex gadgets.As you hold in your hand it fits perfectly and isn't one of thoss big bulky bricks of a phone, but a nice light one that can easily fit in your back pocket for example. I got this phone three months ago. Overall its an excellent phone in many ways, but the designers have forgotten some of the basics. Positives: small, sturdy, easy to understand menu, the display on the front of the phone lights up when you tap it, and the button on the left side flips it open gracefully. It also has a good battery life, I can go a few days if necessary before it dies. Negatives: There is no volume button on the outside of the phone! Which is incredibly annoying.
