Nokia 6600 Fold
Advantages: Aesthetics, ease of use, comprehensive list of features, seems to be built like a tank!
Disadvantages: Software can be unreliable, supplied accessories aren't always fantastic.
As a potential buyer, I would imagine the first thing that draws you to this phone would be the innovative fold function, and the sleek looks. Look beyond this however, and you will find a phone that is brimming with features and function for all but the most demanding of users.
As with every Nokia I have ever used, the simplicity and ease of use of the phone is wonderful: even the most technical of settings are easy to find, and for everything the average user needs, well you need look no further than the initial menu. It is also very aesthetically pleasing, both the physical object, and the aforementioned user interface. For more involved users it is possible to customize the menus and hotkeys (and sounds, appearance, etc) to a much greater degree than I expected.
The camera on the phone is nothing special, but for those quick moments when you don't have your regular camera ready it suffices, though in low light the image quality really suffers. Other useful features include Nokia Maps, which for me in the UK is a pretty comprehensive road atlas and has helped me out many dozens of times, though it is not something that you could use to navigate in real time with: you need to plan ahead, though when on foot it is very very useful. The music based services are also very good, and the only weak link is the headset/headphone accessory, which I find to be sub-standard.
There are drawbacks however: the software is prone to crashing, though I have never lost any data as a result. Also, the back cover has begun to come loose, and the navigation key is beginning to split. However, I am a pretty rough user of phones, and it has taken more knocks and falls than I can remember. Given that it is still working 17 months down the line I cannot complain. Overall I would recommend this phone to any user, save for the most demanding of people.
Summary: Overalla great phone, though some room for improvement.
