Advantages: Heaps of gadgets, large screen, palm sized

Disadvantages: slow, bulky

The 6600 - sounds like it should be a band or a supersonic jet plane. No - Its a phone. It's a big phone at that - in all meanings of the phrase. In one hand, you have got a phone that accesses the net, allows you to take video messages, send and recieve photos, but then on the other hand, if you put it in your pocket, you may as well be carrying around the entire Encyclopedia Britannica. Its so bulky.

The plus points of this moby, is that it has a colour screen. Handy for seeing things - in colour. You've got your red, green, blue, and YES! even Yellow. Its amazing what technology can do nower days. The text message facility is a plus, as you can view the entire message either being sent or recieved on the one screen without the constant need to scroll down the page to catch up, or review what has been written. Watch out if you write more than one text messages worth of type - It slows down, and need to take a breather before you can continue to text.

The battery life is very good. The longest Ive gone without charging it up is 4 days (without turning it off either) so its certainly a phone that won't quit.

The camera quality is like none I've ever seen on a mobile before - superb quality, I would almost stretch myself to say crystal clear. Much better than one of its predecesors - the catchily named Nokia 3650.

There's also as much memory as you could shake a stick at. There's LOADS of the stuff!!! Gone are the days when you had to delete some messages on your Ye Olde Nokia 3310 when you got to 15 in your Inbox - this little monster can hold hundreds and hundreds of messages (possibly tens of millions, but i don't have that many friends to find that out).

Progress does have its ugly side - Its 'un-user friendly' side. For example, the buttons are attractively arranged on the facia, but they are a bit on the small side. Also, certain menu's take a while to appear, so it can be a bit tardy. Because there are so many features on it too, it can take a while if you want to get to something quickly. It just doesn't like to point you in the right direction. Personally, Ive had a few problems with the camera, and also issues with the phone switching itself off. I have taken the handset back to the shop, but they say ther is nothing wrong with it - I don't think so.

On summary - Go get the 6600 if you want thousands of gadgets, and want the world at your finger tips (albeit in a few hours, when the phone has warmed up). Personally, Im ready to have a taste test of what else is on the market after my 4 month relationship with 6600. Bring on the 5140!!!!

My old Nokia used to do the slowing down thing when typing over 1 message, but my new one doesn't (thankfully!). Pretty good review. Welcome to Dooyoo.
