Advantages: 65 K color display, audio with video recording, Tri Band, GPRS, Bluetooth, and infrared!
Disadvantages: A lil Expensive, just a lil, None that I know as of now!
I am feeling extremely apologetic to compare a mobile phone with an epic like ?The Godfather?, but Nokia has left me with no options this time! All you early movers and gizmo freaks, get ready for the Father of all mobile phones! Nokia is notorious and it releases a new bunch of phones almost every month. The revolutionary Nokia 6600 phone features new advanced imaging features, including a bright 65,536-color TFT display. This complements tri-band functionality (GSM 900/1800/1900), VGA camera with digital 2X zoom, and a video recorder, which captures audio too. On board RealOne player for playback and streaming of 3GPP-compatible and Real Media video clips, wicked isn?t it? Nokia has included GPRS, Bluetooth, and infrared in the 6600. Even better is the connectivity software, which includes an integrated email client, SSL security, a mobile VPN (Virtual Private Network) client, and an advanced XHTML client. The Nokia wallet application has also been included, allowing online mobile payments and the storage of personal information in a secure format. The 6600 handsets are based on the second edition of the Nokia Series 60 platform unlike the first edition, which was used in the 7650 and 3650 and is using Symbian 7.0s operating system. Users can install applications for the Symbian operating system; the phone has 6MB of internal memory and an additional MMC card to satisfy all of you! The integrated camera can be used for still image or video capture and will feature 2x digital zoom. No mega changes in the resolution of 640x480 pixels. The 6600 is the first Nokia phone to use a 65,536-color TFT color screen. Previous Nokia phones like Nokia 3650 and 7650 are left way behind with a 4000-color screen. The added colors make shooting and viewing pictures a truly enhanced experience. On the video side, users can capture video clips with audio and send or receive them as well as having access to Real
Video and 3GPP video streaming. Streaming will be available over GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) and HCSD (High-speed Circuit Switched Data) More advances in 6600 include support for Java? MIDP 2.0, True Tones, themes, and personalization of clock and calendar sounds Nokia 6600 has the most remarkable display of features and it definitely is the ultimate must have gizmo but wait where are you going?
