*** This review was first published by myself at http://www.epinions.com/content_173363400324 *** Yes, it’s that time of year again - UPGRADE TIME! Though in a way I feel that the Nokia 6610, while it definitely looks more stylish, isn’t really a step up from the older 3200 model. While it’s got plenty of options and the sound quality is very good, it isn’t significantly better earlier models. The slim-line design is a lot nicer than that of the chunkier 3xxx and 5xxx ranges, though. Sadly this seems to have come at the price of durability – drop this and watch the back and battery scatter across the room. (Obviously the best option would be ... Read the complete review

I purchased my Nokia 6610 after some nice person decided to steal my Ericsson T68i. So I?ve had experience of both. It?s yet another addition to the fast becoming bewildering number of mobile variants from Nokia. As seams to be their policy, they produce a large number of phones to give us the exact choice of what features we need, and don?t need in the mobile world. As such this phone possesses many very nice features but also lacks some things that could be very useful. For instance is there a good reason for the absence of voice dial? Is their a good reason for the absence of voice memo? Is there a good reason for the absence of Bluetooth? I think not ! The ... Read the complete review

I bought this phone more than 5 years ago and it still works perfectly. It may not look stylish or fancy but definitely be of good value. It's got a camera and the picture quality is ok. I especially like the FM radio function. I can listen to the news or music during lunch break and on my way to work. Charging time is short and battery lasts long. After 5 years, I just charge it once a week. It is particularly strong and tough. My one year old likes playing with it, so often drops to the floor or bites it or pokes the keys but nothing happened. The only thing I don't like about it is the screen display which is too dark to see clearly the time. You need to unlock it but ... Read the complete review

This is my third Nokia 6-series phone (generally 3-series is basic, 5-series is sporty, 6-series is midrange, 7-series is flash) and I'm very pleased with it. The phone is packed with features and I really can't imagine wanting anything extra, but then I always think that, until something new comes along! The phone offers all the usual Nokia features and is controlled by the familiar Nokia menu system which is very intuitive. Won't go into detail, but the highlights are: - Excellent predictive text messaging system (better than Sony or Samsung) - Nice crisp colour screen - Great sounding polyphonic ringtones - Cool ... I have the Nokia 6610 which I think is a great handset with the right features and was priced correctly, I purchased this handy little phone in November 2003 not long after it was brought out on the market. It can be used with the optional Nokia camera headset HS-1C but I never got round to buying the camera for it but tried my mates HS-1C camera from his 7210. I bought the DKU-5 data cable as well for my 6610 as I use it for wireless internet access on the move with my laptop when away to keep in touch with my email, chat to friends and research my projects, the GPRS modem comes in handy for that but costly with the service provider so limited necessary use. The sound ... Read the complete review
