Advantages: crisp colour display, excellent Java games, Nokia predictive text
Disadvantages: cumbersome media message interface
This is my third Nokia 6-series phone (generally 3-series is basic, 5-series is sporty, 6-series is midrange, 7-series is flash) and I'm very pleased with it. The phone is packed with features and I really can't imagine wanting anything extra, but then I always think that, until something new comes along! The phone offers all the usual Nokia features and is controlled by the familiar Nokia menu system which is very intuitive. Won't go into detail, but the highlights are: - Excellent predictive text messaging system (better than Sony or Samsung) - Nice crisp colour screen - Great sounding polyphonic ringtones - Cool speakerphone function so several people can join a converstation - Great Java games (Pacman in particular!) - Good battery life (three days between charges with moderate use) It's also very light, and only a bit bigger than my old 6510. Only major downside is that picture messages are only accessable via WAP when you receive them. Also note that this phone does not come with a camera; it can only take pictures when connected to a camera headset attachment. Not really a big deal for me as I am sceptical about camera phones in general... no flash and poor resolution means I'd rather carry a digital camera instead. Overall, I would recommend this phone. If you have no need for the 6610's built in radio (I use mine on the train into work each day) then get the 6100 instead - it's exactly the same phone, only smaller and lighter!
