As many of you know Nokia are the leading phone manufacturer. From the Nokia 502 to the Nokia 6630, Nokia have made many improvements to their phones. Many of them now being a shape out of the original mould.

When I purchased this from e2save I was so excited, waiting on the edge of my seat for the email confirmation and for when it would be delivered, however, to my displeasure I was told it was out of stock at the moment and they would take delivery in the next 7-14 days. I was on the phone to them first thing next morning and an advisor told me they had a few in stock and he processed my order immediately. By the next morning I had recieved the phone (royal mail special delivery!).
I opened the box feeling as exciting as a little boy on Christmas Night. The phone looked perfect. It was smaller than I thought it would be.
Put the sim card in, charged it up and was playing with my new toy immediately. Any way I suppose i should review the phone instead of telling you about me getting over excited!

I installed pc suite to access the memory card and the phone (wasnt plug and play). Transferred over mp3's and a few videos. It plays .3gp and mpeg4 in realplayer(installed on the phone). The videos played on the phone are very clear and can be viewed full screen, landscape. I installed Smart Movie on, v'good program. It enabled me to play avi's and xvid's to. Was straight on to ebay and bought a cheap kingston 512mb rs dv mmc.
Also purchased TomTom5 with GPS reciever. Perfect for getting lost on the way home!

Rs Dv mmc is the only memory it takes. it is very new and is more expensive than normal mmc's or rsmmc's but takes less battery life.

The Nokia 6630 is a smart phone which means it does have a lot of functions your average phone wouldnt do. The phone is hard to use, however, it'll only take about a week or so to get used to it and if I can use it, believe me anyone can.

Text messages are easy to send and type. The keypad is the usual layout that you would expect on a phone and not weird like the nokia 7600.

Connectivity - It can connect to the computer via a usb data cable (which is supplied) or via bluetooth which can also be used to connect to other phones. The nokia 6630 does not have an IR(infra-red) port which does mean that you cant use applications like tv remote, however, I didnt find that too much of a problem. This does also mean that you cant connect the phone to your laptop via the IR port.

The Camera - It features a 1.3 mega pixel camera which takes some excellent pictures. Very easy to transfer the pictures from the phone over to the computer. They looked excellent on the computer as well. I got the pictures developed from an online photo company and they were really clear.
The Video Camera is decent but the quality isnt always that good. It records in .3gp format. It is a bit blurry but is fine for taking short clips and then editing them with the video editor that comes with it.

The loudspeaker is very good for when your driving. It is extremely clear, whether your listening to songs or talking through it.
The battery life, i thought personally was excellent. It is as they say on nokia. 3hrs taltime and 11 days standby.

Overall I think this phone is excellent and i do recommend it to everyone.
