Advantages: ease of use, 64 mb mem card, phot quality/functions
Disadvantages: tendency to freeze
Having spent the last two years of my mobile life with Motorola phones, I felt almost that comforting feeling of coming home when I first started to play with my new Nokia. It's almost like falling off a bike with a Nokia - no matter how many new functions there seem to be, you can always find what you want and it's usually where you expected to find it!
Before I get carried away, here are its main functions (other than telephone!): Videophone, Bluetooth, mp3 player, wap, camera (still and video),email, calendar and obviously a contact book.
The phones looks are suitably suave for you to impress you mates at first glance and things only get better when you show them the smooth way that the phone operates. Another thing worth mentioning is that it is one of the hardiest little beggars I have some into contact with, especially if, like me, you are a clumsy fool who delights in dropping your phone onto tarmac at every possible opportunity!
Like everyone else I find it very difficult to charge the battery for 12 hours without playing with my new toy and was delighted that there was so much to play with. The camera is fantastic quality for a phone (1.2 mega pixels) and even stand up to close scrutiny when enlarged on you pc monitor.
The software that is included with the phone for sharing your data (contacts, texts photos etc) with your pc is very simple but easy to use. It could do with an auto update like you get with most digital cameras instead of having to trawl through all of you photos trying to figure out which ones you have uploaded and which you haven't (there isn't even any thumbnails to view). But that is a minor niggle and if it really does annoy you then just name all of you pics on you camera first or email them to yourself!
In all there is not really anything to moan about - it does have a tendency to freeze every now and again - refusing to show you anything except your main screen until you turn it on and off again but as gripes go, it's not really all that serious. If you also add in that you can get the phone for free with most contracts (mine is with 3) you really are laughing! I would (and do!) recommend it to anyone wanting to regain there pride in their mobile.
Summary: A great little work horse - style and functionality wrapped up in one tidy package
