Oh, and I forgot to mention. It was also the first phone in the UK to support data rates faster than 9600. It can only do 14400, but it's an improvement. To use that extra bit of speed you have to be on Orange and pay £5 per month extra line rental (no extras on the call costs, you need to call fax & data to get it enabled I believe). They don't let you use it with Everyday 50 minutes though (even if ED50 is you line 2, like me)

OK, working for a mobile phone retailler I get to know all kinds of things....

1) Fading speaker is a user problem. It happens when the user let's the phone drift and the speaker holes are covered by the fleshy part of the ear.
2) Was only a problem with the first batch of 7110s supplied to the UK.
3) Never heard of that before except a couple of understandable isolated incidents.
4) See #2
5) That's your connection or ISP. Not the phone. In other words it's really a problem with WAP itself, not the phone.
6) See #2
7) See #2 (Time and date after sim-swapping was something addressed very early on)
8) Gotta admit, that is a bit of a problem.
9) Not where I am. Everyone has the 8210.
