I love my 7110, it has to be by far the best & IS the most feature rich mobile on the market, here’s why I love it…

- Scrolly bar button: This is brilliant & makes everything so easy to get at, you can do most things with just your thumb – scroll down your list of contacts, just pressed the scrolly button to select the default (most common) options.

- Slide down cover: Again this makes answering & hanging up a doddle – simply slide down the cover to answer, slide up to hang up & lock you phone. There is even a little button on the back of the phone to slide it down – cool!

- WAP: Out of all the current WAP phones, this is still the best – mainly due to the ease of use. With WAP you can access your email, news, weather, stock quotes & countless other useful things whenever, wherever.

- Customisability: The 7110 is the most customisable of all mobile, you can download new ring tunes, front-page graphics (like the dooyoo one), & caller group graphics. Go to www.mobiletones.com (costs) or www.yourmobile.com (free) for tones & graphics.

- Address book: The 7110 has a huge capacity memory, all my contacts, messages & calendar options on my phone only use up 4% of the phones memory! You can assign different numbers, addresses, email address etc to each contact, add them to there own caller group (so that the phone will rin
g a different tune when they call – and/or display a different graphic).

- Predictive text: Now used by most modern mobile, this is something you just can’t do without when you have it. Basically, it means that to type ‘hello’ in a text message, you press keys ‘43556’ & the phone would work out that you mean ‘Hello’, on a normal phone it would read ‘gdjjm’!!! saves loads of time typing!

- PC Link: I use the infrared link to my PC & palmtop that is brilliant for transferring contact information from my email program. You can also print directly to printers with an infrared receptor built in. Not that much use to most, but to me – very useful.



Okay, disadvantages then?? Well, there are a few…

- The slide down cover is very delicate – one drop & it’s broken, I have many friends who have already had this happen (insurance is wise on this phone!). You should try to use the silver button on the back instead of manually sliding it down, this helps – trust me!

- It’s difficult to buy a decent leather case for it – the one I finally found, is okay, but if you clip it on to your belt, the phone slowly slides out – just as well I noticed!

- Battery life is not very long, a couple of days max if you make moderate use of it, my advise, buy a desk charger & sit it in there when your not using it. Buying a bigger battery is possible but makes it bulky & it won’t fit the leather case!

- WAP is tad complicated to get up & going for the avergage person - the manual is not that good either, come to think of it not even the mobile phone companies were much help!!
