Advantages: Color screen, Easy menus, Loudspeaker
Disadvantages: none, none, none
After having about 6 mobile phones in the last 4 years I decided to get yet another phone and opted for the Nokia 7210. I have had about 4 Nokia's ranging from the basic 5110 to 3310 and have found that they are deffinately the best phones as they are easily navigatable, reliable and incredibly durable, so the 7210 seemed like the only option for me (being an avid Nokia fan), first appearances of the phone tell you that it's got brains aswell as beauty. Although at first glance the keypad does look a little hard to use, after a couple of days I had no trouble using the phone and can honestly say that it is the best phone I have ever had the pleasure of being able to use, it's so easy to navigate with simple yet descriptive menus, enough features to keep you entertained for hours AND it has downloadable ringtones and graphics, and with the outstanding colour screen it compliments the graphics and games, especially with its almost 5000 color pixels it deffinately beats that of the Ericcsson T68 (in my opinion). Texting on this phone is brilliant as you can choose the text size, either small or big and you can fit up to 8 lines of text, with the ability to four way scroll it makes reading and correcting so much easier than that of any other phone I have used, and any message you send is kept in the Sent Items box. Another feature is creating your own folders EG a seperate "inbox" to keep private messages in, you simply move texts from your inbox to the folder you want them in. It's comfortable to hold and with the loudspeaker feature you don't aven have to hold it to take or make calls making it easier to take calls while on the PC etc leaving your hands free to type. The housings for the phone are also another one of it's many wonderful features as they come in a range of colors, all of which compliment the phone, I did initially have problems with finding places to get housings from but eventual
ly found a wide range on b3k.net. So, if you're thinking of getting a phone the Nokia 7210 is deffinately the perfect choice. The battery life is on average about 6 days standby time, except when I first got it as I couldn't put it down, the games are excellent and I couldn't stop playing Bounce so be prepared to charge it quite a bit in the first few days, I've had mine about 3 weeks now and wouldn't swap it for any other phone, and now I've stopped myself from playing on it so much I'm getting about 5 to 6 days out of the battery, even with the color screen. Although they don't come cheap you will deffinately not regret buying it, everyone should have a 7210.

- 12/03/03 What an excellent review! I was thinking about getting the Nokia 7210 but was a bit unsure so came on here to find reviews and after reading yours I will deffinately be getting one. I thought it was just going to be the same as the other Nokias but with a different appearance, clearly from reading your review it is the next generation of phone. Thanks for your indirect help. |
