Advantages: Nice screen, Changeable covers, Call quality
Disadvantages: screen blurs often, build quality, no voice features
Having owned many Nokias, I know that they are extremely easy to use. Before my 7210, I had an Ericsson T68 with T68i software, and I adored the phone. I don't want to go into all the technical detail of this phone, as it can be found on nokia.com. I've had this phone for 5 months now, and I absolutely hate it! The screen always goes blurry, and i have to restart the phone. I have heard that it is due to inteference from the aerial, and is a problem on all the new colour nokias. I have never had a problem like this on the ericsson. The phone has no bluetooth - which i used quite a lot, and the camera attachment is absolutely appalling! The camera which clipped onto the t68 was brilliant, and the screen was used as a viewfinder. With the nokia, the camera is on a lead - which is very annoying to take around with you and the only way to see the picture is to actually take it. the viewfinder is very poor on the actual camera. there is also no voice dialling and recording which was a bit disappointing as most new nokias have thses features. the handsfree kit you get with the phone for the radio is also very bad - you have to clip it behind your neck! there are however a few things i like about the phone. if the screen is working correctly (hardly ever) then is is very good, the colours are bright (4096 colours i think - compared with 256 on t68) and the screen is very sharp, and the changeable covers. the call quality is also very good, but the build quality on the phone is very tacky. the ericsson feels solid and chunky. i also like the handsfree feature which plays the conversation out loud, and also playes the radio - but you still need the handsfree kit attached as an aerial - whcih is extremely annoying. Having used 7 nokias in my life, this one really has disappointed me. they have been market leaders for a long time, but i think this is soon to change if they don't start building better phones. i think i w
ill stick to sony ericsson for my next handset. hope this has helped anyone considering to buy this phone.

- 31/08/03 well i have had this phone for 7 months now and i have had no problem, neither have some of my friends who have this phone.
I think Johnny obviously has one of the bad ones as There is always defective ones out of every batch of anything i think, and he could have returned it to the store if it is defective. Also you have to think there are more than just one review on this phone, so read them get more than one view.
im not trying to condemn this opinioon (although when you said the ericcsson is chunky - some people dont like chunky phones, hence why phones are getting smalller) I think this is fair considering this was a bad phone, but i ask anyone considering this phone to readother opinions ASWELL as this one taking all of them into consideration |

- 24/06/03 Not much you can do about the camera and bluetooth, but take it back to the shop if the screen's blurry and you have to keep switching it off. I was having problems that my 7210 would freeze and I had to keep switching it off, so I just returned it to the Link and they sent it off for repair, giving me a loan phone (3330 in the meantime.) It's fine now, touch wood, so maybe you should get yours fixed too. I must admit I'm not as thrilled with this Nokia as I think I should be, but I still think it's worth more than 2 out of 5 stars. The Link said mine was the first they've had to return so maybe me and you just got the dodgy ones of the bunch! |

- 06/04/03 Eeek, that sounds awful! I'll be avoiding this particular phone then. (Still happy with my old 3310 anyway...) |
