Advantages: Small, Lightweight, Fully Integrated Camera
Disadvantages: Quite Expensive, might lose it in your handbag
Why Buy the Nokia 7250? Being one of the latest camera phones on the market at the moment it seems like Nokia have finally ironed out the problems of the 7650, (i.e. the sheer size of it) to bring out this sleek, sexy little number. Price It is quite pricey at the moment, being £150 on O2 from Phones 4 U, all this meant is that my line rental is more expensive for the first 3 months as I have to pay £50 for the first 3 months. Is it Available on Pay & Go? Not yet, but if it was it would probably be a good couple of hundred quid. Hang on a few months if you can, I am sure they will bring it out eventually. Specifications Size: height 105mm, width 44mm, depth, 19mm Weight: 92g Talktime: 2 to 5 hours Standby: 150 ? 300 hours Memory Functions Store up to the following number of items in each category: Phonebook ? 300 SMS (text messages) ? 150 text or 50 picture messages Calendar ? up to 250 entries To-do-list ? up to 30 entries Features All the usual stuff (e.g. alarm clock, predictive text - i find this annoying, profiles) you can expect from Nokia, plus: Fully integrated camera (in the back of the phone this time) You can then send the pictures via the multimedia messaging, use them as wallpapers on your phone, or save them in your PC. The camera also features a timer. Multimedia messaging, e-mail pictures, sound, etc to your friends. n.b. even if they don't have a phone capable of receiving photos, they shall receive a text message telling them to log on to a website to access it. 128 pixel high resolution colour screen made up of 4096 colours. Polyphonic Ring Tones (MIDI) - 21 to choose from, or download more. Also 10 monophonic tones pre-set. A Gallery where you can store ringtones and pictures you have received. You can send and receive Business Cards, containing contact details. Games
(Triple Pop and Bounce). What no Snake as a default?! More downloadable games and other applications downloadable via JAVA. Another new JAVA application - Converter II, this is handy for converting currency, measurements, temperature, etc. Hooray, no more phoning my dad from the middle of B&Q to ask him how I convert feet into metres, etc! Access WAP services. Excellent Hands Free Set included with the phone. It features a button for answering calls, and could easily be concealed beneath your clothes. An item in the Extras section called "Wallet" where you can store your credit card details and use your phone to make purchases via the WAP browser. Radio which you can listen to using either the loudspeaker or the headset. A music stand is available to purchase separately which has input for external audio devices as well as your hands free set and charger. Tri-band ? EGSM 900, GSM 1800 and GSM 1900 available in Europe, Africa, Asia and America. It automatically switches between bands, haven?t tried this feature out as we have not been out of the UK since getting the phone. X-press on covers available to customise your phone. Reception The reception on this phone is outstanding, sitting at a full bar most of the time. I love this phone, it looks good, the new style of buttons is funky - 8 are kind of integrated into the black design running down the front of the phone with the other 3 in the middle. The only problem I have is when I have to scrabble around at the bottom of my handbag to find it!! The camera is great, my boyfriend was on a Stag Night at the weekend and he didn't have a camera with him. However, he managed to get a photo of the groom handcuffed to a chair. The one problem with the camera is that it doesn't have a flash, therefore you couldn't really take pictures in dark places such as clubs and some pubs. What more can I say, if you want a pho
ne that looks good and is easy to use then this is the one for you.

- 29/05/03 Hi Welcome to Dooyoo.. a good first op. I rated it U as I would like to have known what the "standard" features of a nokia are (I've never had one) and how good the camera is regarding picture quality.
Cheers

- 29/05/03 Hiya and welcome to dooyoo ;)
A good first review. My only small criticism is that it reads a bit like a list - I loved your last paragraph best where you gave us a more personal touch - more of that please!
Try and read and rate as much as you can while you are here - not only will this give you an idea of the standard of writing people expect, but it will get you noticed and should get you more reads.
Hope you have fun here ;)
