Advantages: Camera, GPRS, colour screen

Disadvantages: sometimes wont turn on, not many covers available for it

The Nokia 7600 has something to offer everyone, its has its good points and its bad just like every other phone on the market but what makes it so unique?

I decided to buy my Nokia 7600 in April this year, about a week after it had been released. It looks unlike any other phone, so if you want to have something that little bit different than everyone else then this could be it. I think the phone is shaped similar to a leaf, which can work quite well because it just sits in the palm of your hand. The buttons on the phone are at either side of the screen, writing text messages isn’t as fast and it is a bit tricky to use at first, but like anything you just get used to the feel of it.

This funky phone has loads of quirky extras, so many infact that when I first bought it I nicknamed it the ‘multi-tool’ because it does so much. The phonebook for a start is not just your ordinary phonebook… you can assign a different picture and ringtone to everyone on your list, not to mention give each person an address, email, webpage and voice tag.
The camera is very high quality, I was amazed when my pictures looked better than the ones taken on my digital camera (which is a 3 mega pixel resolution), you can take pictures in night mode, take portrait pictures, videos and alter the resolution at which they are taken. Not to mention the voice recorder which makes it possible to record conversations whilst you’re on the phone.
Other ‘little extras’ are:- media player, organiser, alarm, to do list, it stores mp3s, 250kb memory, bluetooth, infared and stopwatch.

I haven’t had much trouble with this phone, a couple of little hiccups every now and then for instance when I connected it up to a computer it refused to let me transfer images over but I’ve had no problems since. I’m normally on the phone for at least an hour a day and the battery life when fully charged is normally 3-5 days
I
would definitely recommend this phone to the type of person that is after aesthetics more than performance.
