Advantages: Camera, Can download own apps, Robust
Disadvantages: Bulky, Low battery life
...ok, well not quite, but with this phone, I wish it did. The Nokia 7650 has been around for a couple of months now, and it's just started to drop into the "Free on Contract" price band, so it will get a lot more popular. The phone does "phone" tasks very well, calling using the normal hands-to-head method, or the inbuilt speakerphone, although quiet, can be used well when you're alone with no other noise. Texting is easy, with a well laid out key pad and predictive T9 text input. The camera takes pictures at a 640x480 resolution, and the pictures are not of professional quality - they do blur around the edges. They are, however, great for a laugh, and brilliant for emailing to your mates to prove who they got off with the night before! Heh. All in all, a great phone - a little bulky, but you`ll soon not notice it. _ADDED_ It is robust as anything! Dropped mine out of the third floor today, still works great!

- 13/12/02 you do get used to it. Something i`ll add to it is that the 7650 is ROBUST AS ANYTHING.
I dropped it out of a 3rd floor window today and it survived. |

- 12/12/02 I really can't see the point of digital cameras on phones - especially not the sort of quality they are at the mo. I must be old fashioned! |
