Advantages: Very small and compact

Disadvantages: Still quite expensive - No ringtone composer

Having been with Orange for years I have been waiting for a phone that is small...and here it is the Nokia 8210.

Supported on the majority of Mobile Networks the 8210 is a quality piece of machinery. Very ergonomic compact looking yet easy to operate. Infact, the Nokia Menu structure is known for the simplicity and ease of use and there is no exception with this model. Infact, the features have been extended somewhat.

For example, on the Nokia 8210 there is voice recognition which in my experience has worked very well. (Although I do have to say that this is dependent on you prenouncing the persons name in a consistent manner). Rather than dialling a persons number you can just speak into the handset to trigger recognition so that the phone automatically dials.

Another great feature is the use of icons. There are operator icons so instead of having the boring Welcome to Orange (or Vodafone or whatever) you can have a picture instead. You can also assign icons to people or groups of people so that when they phone you the icon is displayed. All these icons can be downloaded from the internet to your phone very often free of charge.

You can also download numerous ringtones although one of the downsides is that there is no composer. Whilst this is not really needed for those people that have access to the internet, for those that don't it is a bit of a shame that they are unable to easily obtain different ringtones.

Like many other Nokia's the front facia of the 8210 can be removed and exchanged which means that you can really personalise your phone.

Originally sold for over £200 when it first came out, the Nokia 8210 is now reducing in price significantly. On some networks you can even get it for around £50 which is an absolute bargain.

Definately a phone I would recommend (more for the more confident phone user though rather than a 'first time' user as there may be a few too many
additional features which may confuse).

An absolutely great phone!

Although the information that you gave was useful, I thought you could have said a little more about the general features of the phone. If you do add anything, please contact me (email address in profile) and I'll nip back for another look. Cheers :o)
