Ive owned this phone for over 2 years now ok its got the average wear and tear marks of a two year old phone but i gotta say this phone still goes strong. It works as if i brought it y.day , compared to most modern phones that now have cameras and bluetooth this phone still seems to be more of an attention grabber. The blue screen and sharp chrome finished keys still gets people looking. The little ariel which i ocassionally use and have used it foreign countries may seem useless but it certainly does work and picks up those signal bars immediately. The IR port is good to use with my laptop and the built in modem allows me to connect to the internet wherever i am as ... Read the complete review

I am one of the few people in this world who feel that Nokia mobile phones are vastly overrated so when I was asked to run some tests and trials on an 8890, for both writing a training manual and in helping determine a marketing program, I was less than thrilled. The Nokia 8890 was Nokia?s GSM flagship packed with more ?bells and whistles? than one would normally find in a phone of its size here in the US. The only other phones I have found that are more feature packed are Kyocera?s SmartPhone, and Motorola?s 270c. With these plethora of features, however, comes a phone that is so disorganized in its function it almost takes the convenience out of ... Read the complete review

Before I start this review I suppose I should say I got this phone for £50 from a friend on a pay as you contract, as he wanted to get rid of it. I’ll do the review for the true value of the phone at its current selling price around £400 pay as you go or £200 on contract. Lets start with the good points, this phone looks damn good. It is without doubt the best looking small phone on the market. The matt aluminium facia just oozes class and in really feels like a quality piece of engineering. It also feels weighty and substantial when held. The phone is small and light enough to ride comfortably in a shirt pocket, yet it is just the right weight and size that ... Read the complete review

Well here it is the Nokia 8890 I finally got round to trying one, Nokia make it sound wonderful they say works on five continents, Voice Dialling, Predictive Text, Good Sound, Infra red Link and Picture Messaging wow. But I was not so sure it would be so wow after using a Nokia 8850. When first viewing the phone you realise the design is exactly the same as the Nokia 8850 it still has the very stylish design in chrome. The buttons are finished in silver and it has the chrome slide. The screen is also still the same with the nice blue tint. I always found however the slide and the buttons to be annoying, for the following reasons the buttons are hard to press ... Read the complete review

This is a beautiful small cellular phone that weighs only 3.2 ounces (91 grams) with the standard battery in it. It is 3.9 inches in length, 1.5 inches in width and only 5/8 of an inch thick. (10cm x 4.5cm x 1.6 cm) It is not much larger than a credit card! This is a Global phone that can be used in over 120 countries in 5 different continents, this phone will go almost anywhere in the world you wish to go. The signals are transmitted on GSM 900 MHz and GSM 1900 MHz. The blue backlight is an eye catcher with the silver brushed aluminum case. There is a sliding keypad cover to cover and protect the phone?s keypad. This is a very attractive phone! It ... Read the complete review
