A little beauty! (Nokia 8890)
Member Name: Kerensa
Advantages: Small, Light, Good looks Disadvantages: Small keys (for men), Cost
A great little phone with much better reception than the 8810 (which got stolen) or the 8850 (which I upgraded needing a triband version). I chose this range initially because of the size and looks of the phone, rather than for practical reasons like cost, but I haven't been disappointed - its performance is just as good as other, more solid-looking phones, and it's fun and fits in my bag too! The triband (8890) is easy to use in the US - automatic selection is a doddle. The only feature I don't use is the prescriptive texting - I find the dictionary rarely allows me to input the right word, but perhaps I'm not using it right! I just leave it turned off so I can enter my own text. Text messaging is quick and easy for me on this phone. Having said all that, although I do know a few men who have one of these, it's really a woman's phone - my fiance finds the keys too small for his fingers and says it's too fiddly for him. I love it though, it's worth every penny I spent. Summary: |
