what can I say about this, I am currently using the phone to write this review on. I got this phone 3 months back now after an upgrade and I love the phone. This is one off the best smart phones that I have used, it has everything that you would need to use- gps, Wifi, camera, qwerty keyboard, large screen, bluetooth, infrared, built in modem. Having owned the Nokia E71 for a few months now i have to say that i am absolutely delighted with every aspect of the phone so far. Firstly, for its size this is quite a weighty phone, but for me this gives the impression of a high level of build quality and a sturdiness that is increasingly lacking in new phones on the market and the thinness of the handset makes up for its weight. When I bought this phone, I had two main concerns. 1) With it having a qwerty keyboard, will it make it too bulky? The answer is no, not really. The E71 is very thin and only slightly wider than your average phone. It will fit in your pocket fine and as it is so thin, it won't stick out much so there'll be none of that "Is that a phone in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me" syndrome you get with other phones. 2) Will it be uber complicated to use? I went to two shops to look at phones and was skeptical about this phone having owned the Nokia N95 (see other review) and being so disgusted with how poorly it performs all the tasks it should do easily. This phone also does everything, but well. Lets start with the design. The design of the phone is similar to that of a blackberry, although the keys are a little smaller and take some getting used to, which is fine. I was given the white version of E71 as a gift, when this was released back in Winter 2008. Nokia E71 screams business, and it also screams style. Covered in chrome (and in my case) high quality white plastic, this phone was a looker. The Qwerty keyboard allowed fast typing (though at times, the keys were a little too small) and SYmbian OS didn't let me down - fast, responsive and prompt - always a plus for someone who likes things to be done quickly. The buttons on the front are shortcuts for 'business' apps such as 'calendar', 'Home', 'Contacts' etc, wich just a touch of a button.
