Nokia N-Gage

Description: Nokia N-Gage Game Deck - Cellular phone with game console / digital player / FM radio - GSM / EGSM / It's a game deck, ... more
Nokia N-Gage ... it's an MP3 player, it's a wireless browser, it's a phone. If it's a Nokia N-Gage mobile game deck, it's all of these and more.

The Nokia N-Gage mobile game deck was made for gamers. This lightweight, handheld machine pumps out 3D graphics that do your favorite games the justice they deserve. Whether you prefer to play solo or engage in multiplayer action over Bluetooth wireless technology or GPRS, the Nokia N-Gage game deck is ready and waiting.

And yes, the game pauses automatically when the phone rings.

The Nokia N-Gage game deck is good for more than just gaming; it's packed to the max with fancy features like an MP3 player and a mobile Web browser. What's more, it's also a tri-band phone with support for email and multimedia messaging - that's a text message with an image and sound. And there are more extras than you can count, including polyphonic ringing tones, handsfree functionality, RealOne Player, and more.

... drained in only one day and the recption is quite bad, with fuzzy sounds sometimes. As for a gaming console N-Gage is a revolution. High end graphic games with many levels and very fun to play. You could also play with other players around the world by joining "N-Gage Arena". The only downside is the price of the games which is quite high. Game console, phone, mp3 player sometimes I feel that the Nokia N-Gage tries to much. It is balanced, but does not exceed in any of its functions...more

Premium Review Nokia N-Gage: Everything but the, erm... (1296 words)
by - written on 08/01/05 (Very useful, 1065 readings)
Rating:

I used to be a huge fan of Sony phones - just because they looked sexy and were so small. When I first saw the original nGage by Nokia, I fell in love with a new kind of monster. PDAs, Laptops, Notebooks, Cameras, are all gadgets that I fall in love with easily and can't resist playing with. The nGage is HUGE for a phone - it has a decent sized colour screen in the middle, the usual number pad on the right, and the direction pad plus some other buttons on the left. Some people don't see the point of the nGage because it is a huge phone, but doesn't have a camera built in. Most phones with cameras, however, have useless cameras ...  Read the complete review

Rating:

The N-Gage is one of the most recent new generation phones produced by Nokia. Although hefty in size it makes up for it in the numerous features it possesses. It is the only mobile phone to contain a games deck and therefore the ability to adopt console and PC games in the form of a memory card. These memory cards can be purchased from The Carphone Warehouse as well as game?s shops such as Electronic Boutique, Game and also Virgin Megastores. One of the main features of the N-Gage is its Mp3 player. When you first purchase the N-Gage, you get with it a USB data cable in which you can connect the N-Gage to your computer and move Mp3s to your phone and hence ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nokia Game Console? (247 words)
by - written on 10/08/09 (Useful, 12 readings)
Rating:

Nokia N-Gage sets itself apart from the other phones with the fact that it can also be used as a gaming console. Released by Nokia in 2003 it was supposed to hit a niche market and bring great profits for the company. The phone surprises through its unusual layout with the screen in the centre of the phone, surrounded by keys. The reason for this was that the phone had to resemble a portable gaming console, but this lead to an unusual thing. In order to talk on the mobile phone you had to hold it on its side. The built quality is excellent, good solid plastic with rubber keys which are able to sustain an extensive usage. When talking about the features there ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nokia N-Gage: quality phone-good for gamers! (131 words)
by - written on 19/03/06 (Somewhat useful, 88 readings)
Rating:

The N-gage is quite simply the best phone I have ever owned. It is incredibly hard-wearing, the games available are fantastic and there are many other features, such as the mp3 player and bluetooth, that are well worth having. The buttons feel very comfortable, and the phone is very easy and logical to navigate. It is a little bulky, which some have a problem with, but I find the whole shape of the phone very easy to cope with and comfortable on the palm. The phone represented very good value for money when I bought it a couple of years ago, and the only reason that I no longer use the phone is that I now have a different phone on contract, whereas the N-gage was on pay ...  Read the complete review
