Nokia N73

First impressions can be deceiving, and I have to say that is true of the Nokia N73. Most people I've asked have said it looks quite big and bulky. Never the less I bought one because I really like it! From a first glance it does appear to be oversized compared too many of the slinky mobile phones in the market nowadays. The colour may not do the phone any good initially, but the housing can easily be changed. Admittedly this is quite difficult as they are quite difficult to remove, needing special tools to remove the fascias, a T6 screwdriver and an opening tool. I have been using this phone for a year now, so I'll take you through my experiences with the features I really use. By far and away the best feature of the phone is its camera - 3 megapixels and it takes excellent, clear, vibrant pictures. The phone features a flash, which is very bright, though pictures taken with the flash or in low light conditions tend to be much lower quality than those taken in daylight. The gallery for browsing through pictures you've taken is easy to use, and with its slideshow, zoom functions and transition, also pretty cool! My first impressions of the phone was, this is something expensive. The phone itself is loaded with applications that you may not ever use or need, but nokia took the liberty to load your phone up making sure that should you ever need the currency converter, its there, and if you dont, well then you just got useless bulk on the phone, and believe me, this phone is full of useless bulk. The Nokia N73 combines the functionality of a smartphone with the photographic capabilitys of a good camera phone. The N73 is a nice looking phone, is light and has a nice size screen. The camera is very good and full of features (Red eye reduction, various filters). To me this is an ideal phone for someone who doesnt want all the latest gadgets & gizmos but needs a good camera.
