Advantages: Great build quality, HD recording, high quality camera
Disadvantages: Limited apps, OS lacks support
I bought this phone over a year ago and at the time it was meant to be a great phone and it still is in some ways. I thought the design was really nice and it still is a year later. However, I feel that there is not much I can do with the phone apart from browse the internet and use the camera and of course, make a call! This is all to do with the Symbian operating system that Nokia uses on this phone. It lacks a lot of things. The iPhone and and Android both have an array of things that you can do on them - thousands of games and wacky apps, whereas the Nokia N8 lacks this functionality.
However, the two things that the Nokia N8 has which were better than the iPhone and many Android phones at the time was it's high quality 12.1 Megapixel Camera with 720p HD video recording capability and also it's massive 16GB internal memory storage along with the capability of extending this to another 32GB with a microSD card.
The Nokia N8 has a very good build quality with a very easy to use touch screen, but it does lack from sudden slowness when trying to use certain applications. Sometimes I have to do a hard reset on the phone for no apparent reason. This is why I will stay away from any Symbian operating system phones.
Summary: Great phone for Nokia fans, but not for the general market
