Advantages: Good screen, clear calls, super photos
Disadvantages: Music support not great, just tooooo big
The Nokia N85 has loads of features, simply leaving you never wanting for more. There is one major flaw, but more on this later.
So, you get a nice large 2.8 inch screen, which in my unit was ultra clear and evenly lit. It also goes very bright. When playing back video there is plenty of detail and good contrast. Connectivity is well catered for, with both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. The BT is fine, good strong connection, clear audio (yes it supports A2DP) and clear vocals on my BT headset. The Wi-Fi is a little bit hit and miss. Just 10 feet away from my wireless hub had the N95 dropping connection to it, until I got a little closer.
The camera in the N95 really shines though. You get 5 megapixels and a great lens. The autofocus ensures that your photos are very sharp and you also have scene modes for things like close-ups, portraits, night shots etc. I found that framing up was really easy with the brilliant screen and the resulting photos were very colour accurate with good exposure.
Music features were good too, not nearly as good as the iPhone. At least Nokia are trying with new Mac software offering iTunes and iPhoto easy transfer. So, yes, the support is there, but if you have an iPod you may be disappointed.
Overall, a very good phone. the major drawback though... it is massive, too big, not at all pocketable. Shame really.
Summary: Great phone, shame about the size
