A Mac user and the N95 (Nokia N95 8 GB)
Member Name: golden-wonder
Advantages: Good Camera, Good Applications, Good Storage space, Good Music Player, Big Screen Disadvantages: Sometimes slow to process applications I decided to get this phone over the Apple iPhone, mainly because of the price of it and the package it came with. It was sold to me as "nokia's version of the iPhone". It certainly does most of the things I want it to, plus more. It makes calls and sends texts. Excellent. It takes good photos, better than my last phone! The big screen is very helpful too. The Wi-Fi is a great idea, if only I could properly fathom out how to work it. It seems abit hit and miss whether you connect to the net using wifi or 3G. However sometimes the 3G (or 3.5G now days) is faster and more reliable than the wifi. The phone sometimes has a funny turn and will freeze momentarily, but I have not had it totally give up yet! Battery lasts a while. The speakers are good and play to a high volume level. Of course the 8GB memory is extremaly useful. The phone comes with Nokia Suite for PC but it is just as easy to get the Mac version, which works very well and intergrates easily with iTunes and iPhoto. I would love to be able to connect my laptop to the 3G network via the phone, and it is do-able but I have not yet found out how! Overall I would say this is a good phone as a more affordable and conventional version of an iPhone with a few less applications. A good solid mobile and camera. Summary: Solid and Reliable.
