Advantages: Stylish, Modern, Nice looking
Disadvantages: Bulky, sharp corners
I have had my Nokia N95 over an 18 month contract and in all honesty thought I would wait to write a review of it until I could figure out all the functions, which takes me about that amount of time, lol. Yes it comes with a large instruction book which you can spend time reading over but in all honesty will probably fall asleep! I like to get stuck in I get all excited and want to use and try all the functions, so once charging it up for the necessary amount of time all phones need I was eager to try it out. I have never had a Nokia before and have heard that they are very easy to use so was happy to give it a go.
I got the silver version and I must admit it defiantly looks very attractive it has a large screen that is very clear and bright. I like the slide phones which this is and started fiddling straight away. The gps system is an added bonus but in all honesty I barely used it as I found it a little on the slow side, if I was walking somewhere it took a while to catch up. Unfortunately it only came with a couple of games which for such a new phone I was a little disappointed with. there are many nifty devices including recording section, office apps, and maps.
My favourite thing about this phone is the camera which is an impressive 5 megapixle, to be honest most pictures look better on this then they do on my own digi cam. The only down side is there is about a 2 second delay, which when you are trying to get kids to pose is not to helpful, but apparently this is quite normal.
The only thing I don't like about this phone is the sheer bulkiness of it, I find the corners of the phone dig into my hips whilst i am walking and the phone is in my pocket. Also I never did figure out how to turn the volume down on a text message signal, only to silence it.
I am going to upgrade my phone as my contract is now running out, I will not be using Nokia again as I found the battery life was also on the slow side, but I'm glad I gave it a go!
Summary: Nice phone that looks good, does what you need it to do, just needs to be slimmer.

- 06/03/09 Nicely written and some good information here. These are very complex items with a huge range of features, so I was sort of looking for more about these. I would also have found this more useful if you had told us how you felt this worked as a phone. |
