      Disadvantages

Nokia is an international communications corporation headquartered in Finland. Its principal products are mobile electronic devices including mobile telephones and other communications devices. It was the world's largest vendor of mobile phones from 1998 to 2012. The one I'm reviewing is one of the smart mobile devices: Nokia X3-02.

      Packaging:

Nokia X3 is packed in a small recycled box and easy to open. There is a picture of the mobile on the front box. Inside the box there are a mobile, a charger, an earphone and a quick start guide. The mobile has 3 options of colours: black, white and silver.
      Features:

My Nokia X3-02 is in a black colour. It is about 80g with battery. Its dimensions are 106.2 x 48.4 x 9.6 mm. It has a touch screen with a standard keypad. There are also four keys above the standard keypad: Call key, Messaging key, Media key and End/Power key. At the front top of the device there are an earpiece and a light sensor. The loudspeaker is designed at the bottom of the device. At the side part there are wrist strap hole, volume keys and keylock button. At the top there are micro USB connector, charger connector and Nokia AV connector. At the back of the device it is the camera lens.

      Usage:

The device is really easy to getting start, especially if you are not a new Nokia mobile user. First insert your SIM card and battery. Second recharge your mobile before you can switch it on for the first time. You can use the charger or the USB cable to your computer. After charging you can switch on the device and personalize as much as you want. The basic features include making and answering calls, sending and receiving messages as well as voice mails and emails. You can also listen to FM radio and visit internet via Wi-Fi network, etc.

      Price and Availability:

In the UK you can buy Nokia X3-02 in many retailers store and websites. You will find the prices vary. As a guide, it's currently sold on Amazon UK website about £120. You can also get a free device through some network providers depending on the contracts.

      Personal experience:

I was given the mobile phone free by Orange Company when I renewed my contract with them. It was my second Nokia product. I had used Nokia 6303 for two years before. So it's not difficult for me to quickly get used to it.

I chose the silver one, but was given a black one by accident. I didn't like the colour, but I didn't bother to change either. So I finished with the black one. Personally I think the black one is more suitable to men.

Compared to my old Nokia 6303 the new device has a bigger display screen, which makes surfing internet less uncomfortable. The touch screen speeds up my operations. It has a messaging key that I use regularly when I need to check my emails. I like the keylock button that avoids accidentally making a call when it's in my bag.

The camera does not have a flash, but it supports an image capture resolution of 1944x2592 pixels. I have taken many pictures and found they are respectable. After downloading them to my computer I can't find a big difference with other pictures taken by my Sony camera. By the way, same as Nokia 6303, the Micro USB cable connector is too short. When I connect it to my computer I have to hold on the device.

Lat but not least the Wi-Fi browsing works very well. I feel surprised with the performance. That made me feeling satisfied with my new Nokia X3-02.

All in all I think it's not as smart as iphone, but it's suitable for people who need occasionally to browse internet when going out. So I would like to recommend it.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        Felt like using a 3310

Several months ago I purhased a Nokia X3 - the sales man in the shop did his job well and sold me the phone. It was cheaper than the latest smart phones, however I was still expecting big things from this phone. How I was let down.

Prior to purchasing this phone I had been using an Alcael phone I purchased for around a fiver. You can imagine how basic this phone was therefore I expected the Nokia to seem like a substantial improvement, however it didn't.

On the face of things it seemed a good handset, for one I was impressed by its looks. Thats where the positives stopped.

The phone itself was painfully slow, and the graphics seemed poor. The Nokia operating system, and menus does not appear to have improved much since I was a 12 year old boy playing snake on my 3310!

The Nokia app market (Ovi Store) is pathetic, and any apps downloaded didnt work without the phone struggling to run them anyway.

On a slightly positive note the battery life seemed good, however this was likely due to the phone been so useless I never used it for anything other than texting.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Reliable and easy to use, with a good radio.

Although the main reason for getting this phone was that it was part of a bundle with an xbox, I was pleasantly surprised how good it was.

It has all the features you expect from a modern non-smart phone, with a radio that gave good sound quality and limited interference, helping me survive my long bus journeys to and from work.

I was happy with the internet access it gave me and instant access to my email account, and any other email accounts I might have had as you could add several.

The interface was easy to navigate around as Nokia had stuck with their tried and tested structure and front page format. The background display was clear and bright.

I never had any problems with the battery life or charging the phone, in fact charging did not take long at all, only an hour to reach full life from almost empty and the battery life it's self would last a good few days.

The only negative points I would make would be that the back cover was awkward to remove, as was the SIM card (which was stiff to unlock the arm that held it).

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A very handy phone, doesn't have the bells and whistles but the games and other features are enough,

If you dislike smartphones and touchscreens like me, the X3 is genuinely one of the best modern 'oldschool' phones around. It can have charging problems, and I've had to take it back to get a new one twice so I reccomend getting it insured as it can have problems charging/turning itself off.

The camera is 3.2, the standard camera quality today and it plays music loudly and clearly, so I reccomend to those who want to use it for music/radio. Although the Play Radio button is easily pressed in the pocket, so you may be at risk of James Blunt or whatever playing when you're with friends, so be warned.

I like the design and the menu is clear, in the typical Nokia layout. You can't search for numbers straight away by typing like you can on say, a Sony Ericcson but the text messaging is layed out brilliantly as a conversation, so every text you send or recieve from a contact is put in a easily managable conversation box, and its also very fast at deleting large amounts of messages.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

simple and satisfying for music phones fans

I got the phone for my birthday and it turned out to be the best birthday present.
The sound quality is very good and I almost don't need my mp3 any more. The headphones are very functional and there are no distortions when you answer a call using them. Another great thing is a very indurable battery that charges really fast so, even when you're in a hurry there's plenty of time to charge it.
I love the phone mostly because it has great music features but the photos I take are great too. For example, even though the camera is only a 3.2 MP I got great panoramic photos and I took them from a moving train! A 2GB memory card may seem poor but it's enough to get you selected hits and occasional photos in one place.
Still, there are tiny little details that can be a bit annoying. The music keys are very sensitive so you have to be carefull not to squeeze them by accident while carying the phone in your jacket. The sliding mechanism can sometimes get quirky and not lock the phone when you slide it down but that only happens when you try to multitask the phone. It's simple and musical, as simple as that.
