I bought the Panasonic G450 around christmas '98 on Vodafone pay as you talk, and it didn't fail to dissapoint me. Although the ringtones on the phone are limited (if you want musical rings) it is one of the easiest phones i've seen to get onto the phonebook, and is very well built. On one occasion, i accidently dropped the phone into a river -don't ask how- and it got completely submerged before i picked it out again. I was worried at the time, but i pulled it out, poured the water out, allowed it to dry, and after that it was fine! It is a very solidly built phone, but maybe not enough flashy features for the teenager. Overall, a very easy phone to get used to, solid, but a bit bland. 7/10.
